Micro Focus Receives Air Force Information Assurance Accreditation For Requirements, Testing, and Change Management Products

Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing, and management solutions, today announced that it has received Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Accreditation for several of its change management and testing tools available to the U.S. Air Force, enabling the Air Force to accelerate application delivery and enhance IT modernization efforts.

With the new Information Assurance (IA) accreditation, four Micro Focus products within the Borland solution portfolio – Caliber, Silk Performer, Silk Test and StarTeam – can be placed on the Air Force’s encrypted products list and run on secure Air Force networks, in turn easing the process by which Air Force PEOs can utilize Micro Focus products for requirements, application testing, and change management processes.

“Within today’s atmosphere of tight budget constraints, the military is looking to automate processes and reduce costs as much as possible, and requirements, application testing, and change management are process areas where automation can drive efficiencies and increase the chances of project success,” said Michael Wright, Federal Director, Micro Focus. “The Air Force continues to employ better processes and technologies designed to improve program success rates, and the Micro Focus products that have now achieved IA accreditation can support this objective by providing the Air Force with complete visibility into every phase of the modernization lifecycle process.”

The Micro Focus products within the Borland solution portfolio that recently received IA accreditation are:

Caliber – A requirements elicitation and management tool enabling agile software delivery aligned to an organization’s business needs.

Silk Performer – An enterprise-class tool for automated software application performance and load testing that delivers realistic, dependable performance tests across the latest technologies by simulating loads and network speeds for web, enterprise, and mobile applications.

Silk Test – A test automation solution for development, quality and business teams who need to deliver faster. With Silk Test, customers can create and execute across multiple platforms and devices to ensure their applications work exactly as intended.

StarTeam – A change and configuration management tool that brings world-class agile change management to organizations with multiple depositories. Organizations streamline workflows by connecting tools, processes and teams via a simple repository.
